Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, I ship worldwide! The shipping prices are shown on each of the product pages and prices are shown for the UK, the EU, USA, Canada and Australia. Please get in touch if you are from another country and I will calculate the shipping for you. Please be aware that deliveries outside the EU may be subject to customs charges.
When you have placed your order you will receive an automated confirmation via the website with the details of your order. Please always check that all the details are correct and let me know promptly if anything needs changing.
I will then check over the order and email you directly to confirm receipt and let you know a delivery estimate.
Once your order is ready to be dispatched, I will email again with the tracking number and the name of the delivery company.
I will aim to post out Items which are in stock within 48 hours. Please expect to wait 21-28 days for the completion of bespoke, made to order mannequins. I will send an email when I am about to post your mannequin, so you will know which day to expect the delivery.
I use a signed for, 24 hr delivery service for UK deliveries, usually UPS, Fedex or Parcelforce. After many years experience, I find these services to be reliable and to take care of the parcels they deliver. The courier will leave a card if they have missed you and you will be able to make arrangements for a redelivery. International deliveries will take longer and the tracking details will indicate delivery time.
Your mannequin will be packaged securely in a strong double walled box. The mannequin is sent dismantled and the parts of the stand are wrapped safely within the box. On arrival, minimal assembly is needed, just re-attaching the legs to the base of the stand. The box does not have any company markings on the outside, so if the mannequin is a gift, the packaging won’t give the game away!
The weight is 5kg approx and the box measures 76 cm x 45 cm x 28 cm.
Yes! Many customers send me their own fabric to use. I would generally need 1m of 138 cm wide fabric to tailor a mannequin if I don’t need to match up any symmetric patterns or designs. If the width of the fabric is smaller or there are large symmetrical patterns, I would need more. Please get in touch to discuss the suitability of the fabric you are considering.
Please click here to see examples of female mannequins tailored using fabrics provided by my customers. You can also provide your own fabric for male, child and waspwaisted mannequins.
I have lots of enquiries about this and yes I can! I always try to keep the same seam lines of the original covering, especially with vintage mannequins. It would help if you could email me some images of the mannequin in question and I will get back to you to discuss the project.
Please see here for details of my recovering service and examples of recent recovery projects.
This website uses the secure Stripe payment processor and so payment can be made with a credit or debit card. You may also pay using bank transfer if you wish. Please get in touch and I will email you a pro forma invoice with my details. If you live close by and would like to collect your mannequin, then you can pay with cash if you wish to.
